Open House at Skovsporet
May 28, 2026
The Skovsporet student village in Holstebro is quickly taking shape, marking an important milestone for Europe’s largest 3D printed housing project.
As only a couple of months remain before the students of VIA University College are expected to move in, the first completed cluster of six apartments will be ready in June for the first look. All visitors can explore the student complex and preview the apartments of 40-50m2. At least one of the apartments will be furnished to showcase the interior layout.

Skovsporet
Skovsporet is a student village in Holstebro, Denmark, consisting of 36 ground-level apartments, divided into 6 clusters with 6 apartments each. Every unit boasts a full kitchen, study area, lounge with a sofa, bathroom with a shower, and a spacious double bed. Additionally, each apartment features expansive roof windows.
Importantly, Skovsporet represents a step forward for 3D printed construction. As Europe’s largest 3D printed building project, it demonstrates how 3D printing can move beyond controlled test environments and become part of full-scale, livable housing solutions. The technology makes it possible to build with greater material efficiency, reduce construction waste, and explore new architectural forms and textures.
