Partners
We have five key partners within the five most vital areas of our mission. To become a key sponsor one must have sponsored a significant amount and be a leading company in its industry. The company must push the boundaries of its field. We are very proud of our key sponsors. LUNARK wouldn't be possible without them and we thank them from the Earth to the Moon - and back.
We proudly present our five key partners:
CraftUnique - 3D Print partner
The creators of our long term favorite 3D printer, CraftBot. CraftBot has provided the mission with an army of 3D printers working day and night. It is only possible for a small team like LUNARK to develop a space habitat at this speed and low cost because of the technological development in manufacturing. 3D-printing allows us to prototype fast, “work” day and night and create complex forms at a low cost. CraftBot also provided the printer which we brought on the mission to Greenland.
ewool - Equipment partner
Based in Canada, the land of extreme winters, ewool makes the most powerful, simple to use and dependable heated wearables. They are committed to keeping achievers warm and enabled to perform in the cold. For this mission, ewool provided powerful heated wearables, warm clothes and survival equipment for the extreme Arctic climate.
SUNBEAMsystem - Solar power partner
SUNBEAMsystem produces the toughest most efficient solar panels in the world. They have the smallest footprint thanks to world record efficient solar cells. SUNBEAMsystem provided high performance solar panels, charge controllers, and batteries. Lightweight yet robust panels attached to the exterior of the habitat, the perfect solution for the extreme climate of the Arctic. SMART LITHIUM batteries provides a safe and efficient energy storage. These components are crucial for an off grid mission like LUNARK. Independent tests put the solar cells at the top regarding real world yield.
betaFACTORY - Fabrication partner
betaFACTORY located in Copenhagen, Denmark, is tomorrow's manufacturing workshop. They want to build a space full of know-how by running community driven prototyping facilities a.k.a makerspaces or FabLabs and extend their service offerings to entrepreneurs who want to start manufacturing in small scale while staying agile. Their aim is to help push the boundaries of urban local manufacturing in a global world.
Royal Arctic Line - Transportation partner
Going to the Moon requires a rocket. Our rocket is Royal Arctic Line which transported the Habitat, by ship, all the way from Denmark to the mission site far up in Northern Greenland. In the summer of 2021, they will also help bringing the habitat back to Denmark. Royal Arctic Line is the leading expert in transportation to these extreme corners of Earth. They will take the container and habitat all the way from the sea to shore and drive it to the final location. Royal Arctic Line is vital for the Greenlandic infrastructure, which guarantees supplies to the whole country.
